How to Make Own Custom Short URL Address by Using Google Apps

You may familiar with bit.ly or any other website that is providing free shortens link service. But are you know if you have domain then you are also able to create own custom short link. You can make custom short link address by following your domain name. This can be like me – http://preview.allursolve.com/write-anything. So I think it’s very helpful for SEO branding and obviously visitor attract to your content more by using custom own short URL address. Here I will show you how to do it -

  

⇒ Steps One - Have You Google Apps Account?

To do this work you need an active Google Apps account, it’s free; just need a domain. Read – (Make Google Apps by Using Free co.cc domain).

⇒ Steps Two - Need to do Some Task in Google Apps

1. After Creating Google Apps account login there with your administrator email,
you must need to Login with “Super Administrator” email. 
2. Now follow this link – Google Short URL Service
3. From right side click “Add it now”
4. Now select “Add new URL” link

⇒ Steps Three - Add a DNS Record for Custom Created Short URL

For your new created short URL you need add a CNAME record in your DNS panel

CNAME adding method –

Host Name	Record Type	Address/ Value
Your short url name	CNAME (Alias)	ghs.google.com
Preview [in my case]	CNAME (Alias)	ghs.google.com

Now click “I’ve completed this steps”, if everything is right your short URL will be activated.

This URL will work like – http://preview.allursolve.com/which-i-write-here
